           Your tax deductible donation helps create the landscape on the 'Avenue to Peace,' as designed by OU's School of Landscape Architecture, and to maintain the Peace Park

 

 

Mission Statement 

 

 

Develop and implement a comprehensive plan transforming five vacant city blocks located on the north side of NW 10th street between Western Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue into five interrelated park areas focusing on promoting education, peaceful conflict resolution, multiculturalism, and recreation.

            Children, local community members and other interested individuals will participate in a variety of projects connected with the above-mentioned transformation. Special attention will be focused on children. They will be provided with learning experiences ranging progressively from their immediate sociophysical environment to that of other places. Leadership abilities & a sense of connectedness with their immediate communities as well as understanding of other communities will be focused upon.
